Winner of the City of Webster Groves Award of Excellence for Landscape Architecture

The owner was renovating their historical home, with the goal of restoring it back to its original front facing design. The primary focal point of this renovation was the beautiful front porch. The family hired the Blooming Decorator to support their renovation with new front garden beds that would highlight the front porch.

The result was a lively garden that compliments the shape of the house with beauty and function meant to be enjoyed. The design created garden beds on each side of the walkway from the driveway up to the the front porch and around the side of the house leading into the backyard. The goal from the beginning was to always be walking through the garden.

The design was recognized by the City of Webster Groves for its excellence in landscape architecture. The garden also was the backdrop for Christian musician Michael W. Smith’s video that opened his 2018 concert in St. Louis!

Most importantly the garden has been enjoyed over the years by the family - hosting many family events. The home owner looks forward to each spring when flats of annuals are planted in the garden beds and in containers throughout the property.
